Ron Sabado, CPA

Ron is on the faculty of Highline Community College where he teaches accounting. Prior to joining Highline, he was an audit manager for the Defense Contract Audit Agency. DCAA is responsible for performing all contract audits for the Department of Defense, and providing accounting and financial advisory services regarding contracts and subcontracts to components responsible for procurement and contract administration.  He also teaches financial aspects of contracts and accounting for the non-financial managers for the University of Washington Extension Program. Ron graduated from the University of Washington in 1973 with Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with emphasis in accounting and from Central Michigan University in 1999 with Master of Science in administration.  Governor Gary Locke appointed Ron to the Washington State Board of Accountancy on February 18, 2002. This Board regulates Certified Public Accountants, CPA firms, and the practice of public accountancy in Washington State.  Ron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Washington Society Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Management Accountants, National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, and the National Contract Management Association.  He has held his Washington State CPA license since 1977 and he is licensed to practice public accounting. He also holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certificate since 1993.
